![]() The problem is the two surround channels - they are near-copies of the fronts so when downmixed the fronts are way too loud. I have tried increasing the center channel volume by as much as 12 dB, but it still sounds wrong. The center channel is used for Davids vocal in some of the tracks, but it is way too quiet when doing a normal 5.1 downmix. I believe this one is mastered correct because a downmix of all 5.1 channels sounds perfect and offers DR 10-13. I have done three albums, all SACD, and all needed to be downmixed differently: The disc needs to be authored/mastered correct otherwise it will sound horrible when downmixed. Then do an Amplitude Statistics Scan and check for Possible Clipped Samples.Ģ. You can verify this by converting your foobar2000 downmixed music to a single wave file and opening it in a sound editor like Adobe Audition. foobar2000 does not.Ĭlipping is most likely the reason for your low DR with foobar2000. The software needs to do a 2-pass operation in order to find the proper output volume and prevent clipping. There are two issues with stereo downmixing that makes it a nightmare:ġ. What changes the result? What is causing the increase or decrease of DR with the result file? I just want a stereo file as dynamic as the original and i want a way to make it somehow with a standard result. I am now not sure if foobar does the job or what. Tried Opeth - Ghost Reveries AC3, downmixed. Downmixed it to stereo with foobar, now it clocks at DR13. DR shows 12 (track, Coming back to Life) with original 5.1 flac. ![]() Then i tried Pink Floyd - The Division Bell 5.1 flac with foobar. Then ripped it 5.1 and used foobar to convert to stereo. Ripped it (as 5.1 to 2.0) with DVD-A extractor and dynamics are intact with the result (DR14). I used Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come DVD-A to experiment. Also foobar does the job with flac files but there's a catch to it. It kinda is easy with a DVD-A disc, DVD Audio Extractor does the job. I am not sure how downmixing covered on the forum exactly cuz i couldn't find much. ![]() ![]() Harper reportedly rejected late pushes by the Dodgers and Giants in order to sign with the Phillies instead. On Thursday, Bryce Harper became the latest in a string of players to set a new salary standard, reaching a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies for 13 years and 330 million, the. The signing means that Nick Williams will slide into a fourth outfielder role - or perhaps even head to Triple-A Lehigh Valley since he has options remaining - with two out-of-options guys, Aaron Altherr and Roman Quinn, facing tougher odds to make the major-league roster, and Dylan Cozens almost certainly headed back to the minors to serve as extra depth. Harper will join Andrew McCutchen and Odubel Herrera as part of Philadelphia’s everyday outfield. He had an atrocious -3.2 defensive WAR and was rated by WAA (a metric similar to WAR, but that measures a player’s value compared to the average player, rather than a random Triple-A player) as -0.8 wins below average. In 695 plate appearances, he got on base at an extremely impressive rate but struggled to make contact and was a liability in the field, hitting. That’ll be important in case Harper is more like the player he was in 2018 - and really has been for the majority of his career. But by giving him more years (paying him through his age-38 season) and a $25.3 million average annual value (lower than the ones Machado and Nolan Arenado received in recent weeks), the Phillies give themselves a bit more wiggle room from an annual budget/luxury tax standpoint. Obviously, the Phillies will hope that he’s able to bounce back to his MVP form of 2015, when he hit. Harper's deal is for 13 years and 330 million and features no opt-out. At that time, it was the biggest contract in the history of US sports. Bryce Harper has agreed to a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, the team announced Friday night. All the money was guaranteed leaving his annual salaray close to 25 million. Bryce Harper's 330 million deal with the Phillies includes no opt-outs, but does include a full-no trade. On that agreement, there was a 20 million signing bonus. Though he’s only hit more than 30 homers in a season twice over seven years in the big leagues, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him hit 40-plus on an annual basis with the Phillies. In 2019, Bryce Harper signed a 13 year/330 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies. Harper, 26, will have the ability to fully showcase his best skill - his power - at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. The addition of Harper doesn’t make the Phillies clear favorites for the NL East title, but it does give them a very real shot at winning the division for the first time since 2011.
